Candelabra

The candlestick was molded in clay and then a silicone mold was taken of it. A plaster mold is then made over the silicone for reinforcement. Both the silicone and plaster casts are made in two layers so that a cross section of the candlebara is in both casts. Candle filaments are placed in the mold and then it is closed. How many Icelandics do you know?

Graduation project from IUA

Raising awareness of sign language in Icelandic society.
Who decided that there in only one mother tounge in our country? There are two Icelandics: volcal Icelandic and Icelandic sign language. Why is it only mandatory to know one of them? They should be equally important in our society. Icelandic sign language needs to be apparent in our daily lives. It is still possible to change people's attitudes towards the Deaf community and sign language, promote awareness and increase education. It is not the privilege of Deaf people to speak to someone who can hear in sign language, it is their human right. Perhaps one day this will be the „norm", that all icelanders will understand each other.

Scallop glass with stainless steel

I found these beautiful Icelandic scallops and I knew I wanted to use them for some kind of project. I have always been very interested in things I find in the nature. Stones, seashells, volcanic glass and lava rocks fill my home with their colors and textures. Scallops have always caught my eye with their beautiful colors and I have used them often in my looks as a necklace, a belt or other things to decorate.
